Caboose
Cabooses were a familiar sight to folks during their daily routines before railroads retired them in 1984. Our 1890s caboose embodies a railroad of an earlier era.
Dodson House
Ross Faulkner built the Dodson house in 1937 for William and Maude Dodson. Today, you can rent it as a lovely wedding reception venue.
General Store
The General Store was built in 2012 in honor of JoAnn Elliot Bond, the first President of the Friends of the Farmers Branch Historical Park.
Gilbert House
The Gilbert House, built in 1856, is the oldest structure in Dallas County still on its original foundation.
Log Culture
The Log Culture area has been dismantled for now to make room for the event center. Stay tuned for future reconstruction.
Old Church
Isaac Webb founded the first Methodist Church in Dallas County in 1845 in his Farmers Branch log cabin. Today, you can hold a uniquely beautiful wedding here.
Queen Anne Victorian Cottage
The Farmers Branch Historical Park’s Queen Anne Victorian Cottage features crossed gables, turrets, cupolas, wrap-around porches and porticos.
Railroad Depot
The Dallas and Wichita Railroad built this railroad depot around 1877. You can see it today at Farmers Branch Historical Park.
Ruthan Rogers Rose Garden
Farmers Branch Historical Park features our antique rose garden in front of the 1885 Queen Anne Victorian Cottage Check it out for an outdoor wedding.
School House
Farmers Branch established the first organized school in Dallas County. The School House was built around 1900 and moved to the Historical Park in 1985.
Service Station
Arthur Raymond and Ina Millaway established the first service station in Farmers Branch. Our Texaco Service station embodies their industrious spirit.
